What We Offer

BUM Large Group

Thursdays at 6:00 PM all area young adults (age 18-25, unmarried and without children) are invited for a meal, Bible study, and fellowship

We meet weekly during the semester (loosely following the LLC calendar for breaks)

For our summer schedule, please contact the director.

Student Led Small Groups

Each semester we encourage our students to sign up and commit to following a daily Bible reading plan (usually verse by verse through a book of the Bible), then meet weekly, prepared to discuss and dig deeper into the text together. We have several groups that meet on different days and times each semester based on the schedules and availability of our student leaders. Sign up to participate in these groups during the first couple weeks each semester at large group BUM on Thursdays.

The commitment is for 1 semester.

Special Interest Groups

Each semester Jason and JoLee offer additional small groups that cover a variety of topics, including theology, evangelism, and a men’s only accountability group. When students are interested, we have added these topics: finance and budgeting, girls-only Bible study, crafting nights, and service projects. In addition, both Jason and JoLee have met one on one with students to read through books and discuss together or for accountability and discipleship.

Study Space

The BUM facility offers places for students to come and study between classes or before or after their small group. Sometimes they come for a quiet spot to work alone, while others utilize the space for group projects or classmates gather to study for tests together.  The basement is filled with comfy couches, and beanbags for the relaxed living room feel as well as a couple of small tables for more serious work.  Upstairs is set up with community workspace tables that can serve many needs.  Both spaces in the BUM facility are equipped with a bathroom and kitchenette, complete with a refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven for student use.

Fun & Fellowship:

The BUM facility is a gathering place for our students to hang out and talk, play a game of ping pong, watch a show or sporting event on the 12’x12’ movie screen in the basement, or grab a group and play one of the many board games available.

Student Housing:

Located just minutes away from campus, next door to the BUM facility and the Director’s home is a duplex that serves as Christian housing for up to 8 students. Each side of the duplex has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a washer and dryer, a furnished kitchen, a living room, a dining room, and an office/study room. In addition, each side has a small chest freezer, shared storage space, and plenty of parking.

Students interested in living in BUM housing must agree to the Code of Conduct and go through an interview process after completing the written application. Current students in good standing who choose to renew their housing lease are given the first opportunity, then new applicants are interviewed to fill any remaining housing slots each spring. We cannot guarantee that housing will be offered for both male and female applicants each year. This is dependent on who chooses to renew leases as well as incoming applications. For more information about student housing lease options and pricing, please contact us.
